In October, Gibril Sanneh, the Municipal AIDS Coordinator, engaged with second-year nursing students at the Gambia College School of Nursing and Midwifery, focusing on the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV. The session aimed to raise awareness of statistical data while preparing students clinically for their future roles as Care Nurses.

During the event, deserving students were recognized with rewards for their significant interest and participation in HIV care discussions. Gibril extends gratitude to the management and staff of the National AIDS Secretariat for their unwavering support, as well as to the management and staff of the Gambia College for their partnership in this vital fight against HIV. Special thanks were given to Mr. Abdou Karim Fofana for his efforts in mobilizing resources and organizing the session, ensuring its success.

This initiative underscores the commitment to health system strengthening and the importance of equipping future healthcare providers with the necessary knowledge and skills to combat HIV.
